
The Weekend Operations Managers position will require you to be available over weekends Friday 11am to Sunday 5pm when respite is operating.
Maintain responsibility for the supervision of support workers including, monitoring and adherence to compliance and duty requirements as per company policies and procedures.
Oversee the operations of the weekend to ensure that the activity programs run smoothly and according to the itinerary for that weekend.
Assess the needs, interests and goals of those NDIS Participants utilising the Respite Program.
Maintain responsibility for overseeing proper administration of medication and proper confidential procedures for recording and filing of client progress notes and photos.
Ensure client files are accurate and maintained and stored according to company confidentiality policies and procedures.
Be responsible to organise all weekend supplies, rosters and transport.
You will be the go-to person for the duration of that weekend and will be trained to answer any possible enquiries while on duty.
Manage effectively and efficiently any emergencies as per our company policies and procedures and report directly to the Directors.
KEY CRITERIA - ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
· Current Working with Vulnerable Persons/Childrens check/registration
· Current National Police Check
· Current Tasmanian Drivers Licence and comprehensive car insurance
· First Aid (or willing to obtain)
· Covid Vaccinated
· Assist Clients with Medication (or willing to obtain)
· NDIS Orientation Module Certification (can be obtained before starting)
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
· Cert IV in Disabilities (or willing to obtain)
· Bronze Medallion in swimming would be advantageous but not essential.

The Weekend Support Workers position is on a casual basis Friday 5pm - Sunday 3pm Your start and finish times are to be advised and according to business needs.
You will be expected to provide support services to clients to meet their individual needs and be in line with our organisations policies and procedures.
Provide services to clients as directed and/or documented with the Individual Participant Service Agreements and Support Plan.
Maintain a high standard of care when providing support to clients.
Adhere to and maintain workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a high standard of confidentiality regarding service provision to clients and the operations of Island Respite.
KEY CRITERIA
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in working within disabilities or healthcare industry would be desirable.
• Assist Client with Medication Certificate or similar (or willing to obtain)
• Cert IV in Disabilities or similar (or willing to obtain)
• Safe Food Cert & Allergen Management or similar (or willing to obtain)
• Current ‘C’ class driver’s license
• Current working with children clearance applicable to the state in which they work
• National Police Check
Proof of Covid vaccination
• Certificate in First Aid (or willing to obtain)
• Competent with use of web-based programs, mobile apps, and computer
• Intermediate administrative skills

This role is purely administrative. You will be required to hit the ground running and have an extensive and varied experience in a wide range of administrative tasks.
KEY CRITERIA
You will report directly to the Managing Director, who will assign daily tasks. This a remote and autonomous role with little supervision, you will need the initiative and skills to prioritise your own workload to meet management expectations. Your key performance indicators will be the results from your work which would be derived from the tasks assigned by the Managing Director.
